Youth Programs

Important Item Applicable to All Programs - The National Executive Committee at the 2016 American Legion Convention passed Resolution 16. Resolution 16 outlines expectations regarding flag respect for those involved in American Legion youth programs. Participants of Legion Baseball, Boys State, Boys Nation and other programs will show proper respect to the U.S. Flag at all times, including during the national anthem. The resolution recommends department and post leaders of all Legion programs educate individuals in advance about this expectation; if youth cannot or will not meet it, they should not participate in Legion programs.
